Description
The Cheshire East Council is offering the freehold interest in a 1.04-acre site in Crewe, South Cheshire, for the development of gypsy and traveller pitches. The site is allocated in the Local Plan for 7 pitches, each consisting of one chalet/mobile home and one touring caravan, with a minimum spacing of 6 meters between caravans. The site is located on the outskirts of the town, surrounded by agricultural land, and has two access points. The sale is subject to overage payable if planning permission is granted for any use other than a gypsy, traveller, and traveller showperson site, with the overage sum payable on implementation of each planning permission over a 30-year period. The vendor will also receive a contribution towards costs from the purchaser, equal to 3% of the price offered, payable on completion. The council is inviting informal tenders for the freehold interest on a "subject to planning" basis.
