The site features a ruinous cottage, known as Billy Diamond's Cottage, which was occupied by Billy Diamond and his family in the 1850s. The site also includes a former Creetown water supply, which was taken over by Scottish Water in the 1950s and was said to be one of the top two drinking water supplies in Scotland.
