This rare development site, Damknowe, is situated on Scotland's southernmost point, near the Mull of Galloway, with the coastline and countryside pursuits just a short distance away. The site offers stunning views of the surrounding area and is home to a variety of native wildlife. The proposed single-storey dwelling will be designed to blend in with the traditional gable widths and finishes of the area, with vehicle access via an established track. The house will be built with low carbon in mind, featuring renewable energy sources such as solar panels, a wind turbine, and solar thermal collectors to generate hot water. The existing traditional stone outbuildings will be preserved and used for storage or small farm animals, with the overall design aiming to minimize its impact on the natural environment.
