Hotts Hill Forest is a 67.33-hectare commercial woodland in South Scotland, recently planted with high-yielding Sitka spruce and Norway spruce. The property offers stunning views of Eskdale Muir and is situated near a range of sawmills, timber processors, and biomass power plants. With a high stocking density of most species, the woodland is expected to produce over 25,000 tonnes of timber within 40 years. The property is sold with all sporting rights and is offered for sale by private treaty. The vendor has planted the woodland with support from Scottish Forestry's Forestry Grant Scheme, and the property is expected to meet the grant contract obligations. The sale includes a copy of the Forestry Grant Scheme contract, and purchasers will be required to sign and agree to take on the contract and all binding obligations for the full duration of the contract, which is for 20 years from the receipt of the first grant payment.
