Ardochrig Wood is a 51.10-acre commercial forest located approximately 6 miles northwest of Strathaven, South Lanarkshire, with easy access to Glasgow and a range of timber buyers. The property is a first-rotation forest established in 1999, with a predominantly Sitka spruce crop that has produced an impressive volume of timber. A recent timber assessment estimated the forest holds around 9,400 cubic meters of timber, with an average of 640 m³ per conifer hectare. The majority of the timber is nearing maturity and may be ready for harvesting in the next 2-5 years.
