North Faulds, established in the mid-1990s, is a mature timber crop consisting of a mix of Sitka spruce and Lodgepole pine. The forest has been maturing well over the past five years and is expected to produce a good volume of timber in the next 10-15 years, with estimated yield classes of 12-14. The woodland also features a mosaic of open areas suitable for deer stalking and rough shooting, and a former ruin that, subject to consent, could be developed into a dwelling to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
