Mackay a Tuath is a commercial conifer forest located approximately 5 kilometers west of Forsinard in the Scottish Highlands. The forest is situated within the Dyke Forest Complex and is closely associated with commercial forestry, with significant investment and proximity to sawmills at Dingwall, Nairn, and Fochabers. The property is accessible via a shared forest access route and the A897, which has been used for timber extraction from neighboring woodlands. The forest, originally established in the mid-1980s, is predominantly composed of Sitka spruce and Lodgepole pine, with the latter serving as a self-thinning nurse crop. In 2022, the forest manager carried out timber extraction, and the property is suitable for continued commercial forestry operations.
