Ardochrig Wood is a 51-acre commercial forest located approximately 6 miles northwest of Strathaven, South Lanarkshire, with easy access to Glasgow and a range of timber buyers. The property, established in 1999, is predominantly Sitka spruce and has produced a significant volume of timber for its age. A recent timber assessment estimated the forest holds around 9,400 cubic meters of timber, with some coupes exceeding 730 m³ per hectare.

The majority of the timber is nearing maturity and may be harvested in the next 2-5 years. The property also includes sporting rights, mineral rights, and is bounded by a stock fence with maintenance shared with neighboring landowners. The forest has productive soils and is expected to benefit from improved tree genetics and ground conditions in the second rotation, with potential for higher yield classes and increased productivity.
