Description
The woodland property, Elrick Wood, is a 10-year-old mixed plantation of spruce, broadleaves, and open woodlands. It spans a gently sloping south-facing area with dispersed deciduous tree species, including birch, rowan, oak, cherry, ash, and beech. The property has established evergreen spruce conifers with a mix of wildflowers, including buttercups, clover, and rosebay willowherb, in the rides and open grassy areas.
The interior has a network of mowed rides and brashed conifer paths, providing access to various areas of the wood. A secluded clearing and parking area on the southern edge overlooks a broadleaf valley. The property has a hard grassy ride for internal vehicle access and is surrounded by arable and grazing fields with distant views.
It has a good natural crossing over the valley, forming a natural boundary with other woodland areas.
