Description
Heggadon Wood is a 4 and two-thirds acre mixed woodland with grassy rides, located in a quiet setting in the heart of Devon. The woodland features a variety of tree species, including oak, hornbeam, sweet chestnut, ash, willow, hazel, and alder, as well as areas of wet woodland and open grassland. The wood has a private stoned parking area and a rustic picnic bench at its center.
Grassy rides lead to level areas suitable for camping and there is a good supply of timber for a wood burner or open fire. The woodland lies near the A30 and is a short drive to the market town of Holsworthy and north Cornwall's surfing beaches, while the local village of Ashwater provides amenities within walking distance.
