Land

The property, Chestnut Farm, consists of approximately 547.2 acres of land located to the east of the small hamlet of Teigh in Rutland. The land is divided into 395.11 acres of grade 1 and grade 3 arable land, 152.03 acres of land let by way of cropping licenses, and a small field of permanent pasture. The land lies largely in a ring fence with a public highway dividing it, providing good access.

It consists of large, workable fields with ditch management and drainage schemes, making it suitable for efficient farming operations. The land is classified as grade 1 with well-drained soils and grade 3 with slowly permeable soils, suitable for growing winter cereals, sugar beet, and potatoes.
