Description
The house is a 17th century fortified laird's house with a later 19th century wing, built in an L shape with a stone slate roof on the older wing and a slate roof on the 19th century wing. The house is stone-built and harled, with crowstepped gables, spyholes, stone loops, and a circular stair tower with a fish-scale turreted roof. The interior features original features such as cornices, carved wooden mantels, and stone fireplaces, as well as modern amenities like a new boiler and stone flag floors.

The garden is spread over several levels, with a stone paved terrace linking the drawing room to the garden, and features a small pond, shrubs, and rhododendrons.
