Elland Park Wood is a mature broadleaf woodland with road frontage overlooking the River Calder, located on the northeast outskirts of Elland. The wood is divided into two areas, with the upper northern part designated as 'Ancient Semi-natural Woodland' and the rest as 'Ancient Replanted Woodland'. The woodland floor is dominated by native species such as bluebell, wood rush, fern, and wild garlic, and is accessible via two gated entrances off the A6025 Park Road.

The wood contains a significant volume of oak stems, which could be harvested with the necessary consents. The new owner will need to consider improving the internal 4WD access tracks and acquiring a Forestry Commission approved plan for the management and utilization of the ancient woodland.
