A path leads into the wood from the ride stop, and a rustic bench is located near a characterful birch tree.

The wood features a variety of wildflowers, ferns, and woodland grasses, and a range of fungi and mosses. The forest is home to a variety of wildlife, including butterflies, moths, jays, nuthatches, treecreepers, and roe deer. The wood has good access via a stone track, with parking space for a vehicle.

The forest also includes a side track and footpaths for exploration.
